Paris Saint-Germain was led by its Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe attacking trio over the first half of the season. They all chipped in for key goal contributions in Ligue 1 and UEFA Champions League play, and overall, no team had an answer for the three forwards.
For PSG manager Christophe Galtier, as he explained on RMC Sport’s “Rothen s’enflamme” program, the unity between them is one reason behind their grand success together so far this season.
“They play together,” Galtier said. “They have a real ongoing relationship in practice, every day. They look out for each other. It’s a daily reality. They are three great players with different personalities, different ages.
“They know very well that they will succeed by playing for each other.”
For now, Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe all have their sights set on leading their respective national teams to triumph in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Messi will have the floor first, as Argentina will face Saudi Arabia on Nov. 22. Neymar and Mbappe sure will have a close eye on just how Messi performs in this crucial group stage matchup.
