Manchester United, Real Madrid Star Options for Brazil to Replace Neymar, Outlet Says

Neymar Jr. is out for the rest of Brazil’s group stage matches and now manager Tite will need to figure out the lineup for the South American nation for their matchups against Switzerland and Cameroon.

Brazilian media outlet GE laid out the two possible plans for the Seleção to compensate for the loss of the Paris Saint-Germain star. The first is having Real Madrid’s Rodrygo fill Neymar’s role.

The rest of the lineup would remain intact, with no one’s role change should Tite go with Rodrygo. However, the second option could be moving West Ham United’s Lucas Paqueta into the 30-year-old’s spot.

Meanwhile, with Paqueta moving into Neymar’s role, Manchester United’s Fred will come into the starting eleven and fill the job that’s left behind by the West Ham United star.

As Neymar is out for two games, he will return when the knockout stages begin, but these next couple of fixtures allow some players on the Brazil team to step up and make a name for themselves.
