Cristiano Ronaldo started in Portugal’s first match of their 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign as the veteran forward wants to win the one trophy that has long eluded him.
Nonetheless, the 37-year-old made history against Ghana on Thursday after converting a penalty kick it marked the fifth World Cup in which the former Manchester United star has scored a goal.
Following his goal, Ronaldo went for his signature celebration. Perhaps it was the perfect placement of the banner, celebration, and photo as an airbrush image of Lionel Messi was caught in the celebration leading many to have fun with their captions.
