Bayern Munich Defender Lucas Hernandez Reacts to Facing PSG’s Messi, Neymar and Mbappe Trio in the Champions League Round of 16

In every season, there is always that one heavyweight tie in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 that all football fans circle on their calendars. This season, all eyes will be on the Champions League round of 16 showdown between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich defender Lucas Hernandez is no stranger to facing PSG in the Champions League. He featured for the reigning Bundesliga champions in their Champions League quarterfinal tie against PSG two seasons ago, where the Ligue 1 powerhouse prevailed on away goals.

This time around, Hernandez (via Bayern Munich’s official website) is much looking forward to squaring off with PSG’s Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe attacking trio.

“We’ve been drawn against a great team in Paris, whose firepower is massive with the likes of Neymar, Mbappe, and Messi,” Hernandez said ahead of Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga fixture against Werder Bremen.

“I’m already looking forward to these two games. Hopefully we’ll do better than last season, when we narrowly came unstuck against Paris in the quarter-finals.”

The Champions League round of 16 will kick off in mid-February.
