Wednesday was a forgetful day for FC Barcelona. The Spanish side not only crashed out for a second consecutive season in the UEFA Champions League group stage but they head to the Europa League again.
Additionally, Bayern Munich handed them another lopsided 3-0 loss continuing the German club’s streak of dominance over Barcelona.
The Spanish giant was already down after their latest Champions League failure. Rather than show any type of mercy, Bayern Munich supporters opted to put more salt in the wound of Barcelona’s injuries.
Groups of supporters began to chant “Messi” in their section at the Camp Nou, trolling the Catalan club.
Messi playing at a high level once again, scoring 11 goals and recording 12 assists in all competitions for Paris Saint-Germain, isn’t helping matters for Barcelona. An Argentine journalist has already labeled letting Messi go a “historical mistake” by the La Liga team.
