Following a foul committed by Marco Verratti, the referee of the match Pierre Gaillouste, decided it was time for him to take center stage. Unfortunately, Sergio Ramos was the player that Gaillouste circled for his arguing over the foul as the veteran defender was handed a yellow followed by a red card in less than a minute, leading to expulsion from the matchup.
