It seems as though after dealing with Kylian Mbappé departure rumors for an entire season, they would be dead after the 23-year-old extended his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
Before the capital club’s UEFA Champions League Matchday 4 matchup against Benfica on Tuesday at the Parc des Princes, rumors circulated over a possible Mbappé exit during the winter transfer window.
After the 1-1 draw between Benfica and PSG, manager Christophe Galtier addressed the rumors during his press conference with the media.
“I can’t comment on it,” Galtier told reporters (h/t Culture PSG). “From a rumor, we make information that almost becomes a declaration. I see Kylian every day. He gave a very good response this (Tuesday) evening by being a scorer, creative and dangerous.
“He could have scored a second goal. Kylian gritted his teeth to hold on until the end, even though he suffered a nasty tackle that could have generated an expulsion. Me, I see a Kylian who, tonight, gave a certain answer to this famous rumor.”
