The marquee matchup in French football is Le Classique, with Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille will be adding a new chapter to their rivalry on Sunday at the Parc des Princes.
Although Lionel Messi’s status for the matchup remains unclear, Marseille still may need to face PSG’s trio that includes Kylian Mbappé and Neymar Jr.
Despite having the possibility of facing all three, manager Igor Tudor doesn’t plan on changing his system to defend Mbappé, Messi, and Neymar regardless of the threat they pose offensively.
“I am faithful to my philosophy because I believe in this system, that it has brought results, and also because I cannot change it, the players would wonder why we are changing the system,” Tudor told reporters on Friday (h/t beIN Sports).
Marseille and PSG are currently fighting for the top spot in Ligue 1, as three points separate both teams, so Les Parisiens are hopeful for a win that will allow them to create distance in the standings.
