On Tuesday, a report from Spain revealed that Lionel Messi would return to FC Barcelona. However, it was quickly debunked by reporting done by a TyC Sports journalist who had Lionel Messi’s camp deny any agreement with the La Liga side.
Nonetheless, Messi’s possible return was a topic of discussion on El Chiringuito de Jugones, where pundit Jota Jordi stated that Barcelona should only consider pursuing the 35-year-old if he accepts one significant condition upon his return.
“I think not,” Jordi said. “I think that would be a mistake. If he accepted a secondary role that I think would be very difficult, then maybe yes.
“But I think that Barça had a terrible time last year sportingly because, among other things, we have to get used to a life without Messi, and I think we’re working on it. I think we’re on it. And going back to Messi again, I think it would be a mistake. I see it. I see it as very difficult, impossible, but I see it as very difficult.”
"Su vuelta al Barcelona sería un error"
