Paris Saint-Germain will return to UEFA Champions League group stage action on Tuesday with a home fixture against Maccabi Haifa. At the least, PSG manager Christophe Galtier will not be able to rely on both Danilo Pereira and Marco Verratti in the match.

PSG officially ruled out Pereira from the contest due to his nagging hamstring injury. The Portuguese midfielder suffered the injury during PSG’s Ligue 1 home fixture against Olympique de Marseille and, as a result, he went on to miss the away match against AC Ajaccio due to the ailment.

For the moment, Pereira is slated to return to collective training on Sunday.

On the other hand, Verratti will not feature in this fixture due to a yellow card suspension. The Italian midfielder has already picked up three yellow cards in four Champions League matches played this season.

It will be noteworthy to see just which two players Galtier plans to call on to replace Pereira and Verratti for the home matchup against Maccabi Haifa.
