Report: PSG’s Projected Starting 11 for the Champions League Matchup vs. Benfica

Paris Saint-Germain will square off with Benfica on matchday three of this season’s UEFA Champions League group stage.

PSG is just coming off of the 2-1 Ligue 1 home win over OGC Nice, where goals from Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe proved to be just enough for the reigning France top-flight champions in the contest. On the other hand, Benfica comes into this fixture in keen form, as like PSG, it is undefeated in all competitions this season.

As noted by TyC Sports, PSG manager Christophe Galtier could roll out this starting 11 for the away matchup against Benfica.

Donnarumma; Ramos, Pereira, Marquinhos; Hakimi, Vitinha, Ruiz, Mendes; Mbappe, Messi, Neymar

Sergio Ramos is enjoying a bounce-back season in his second campaign at PSG. Barring any major surprise, the veteran Spanish center-back should tag along with Marquinhos and lead PSG’s backline against Benfica.

Neymar did not record a goal contribution against OGC Nice, which was just the second time this season that he came away from a fixture without having notched a goal or an assist. He sure has what it takes to chip in with an assist or two against Benfica.

PSG aims to create a bit of separation away from Benfica in Champions League Group H.
