Lionel Messi has missed the last two games for Paris Saint-Germain after exiting last week’s game against Benfica with a calf injury.
Ahead of the capital club’s Le Classique matchup against Olympique de Marseille, French media outlet RMC Sport provided the latest regarding the 35-year-old’s status for the significant match in Ligue 1.
RMC Sport reported on Wednesday the news is relatively good concerning Messi, even if he is still in trouble with his calf. The veteran forward is taking care of himself and is getting better and better.
The staff hopes to be able to play him on Sunday. However, the final decision will be made on Saturday, during the last training session behind closed doors.
It will be interesting to see if PSG can get Messi healthy for the matchup against Marseille, as their arch-rival is within three points, so the French giants might need the Argentine to help create some distance in the Ligue 1 standings.
