Fabián Ruiz is in his first season with Paris Saint-Germain and appears as though the Spain international is beginning to mesh well with the capital club after arriving this past summer transfer window from Napoli.
Ahead of the French giants’ Matchday 5 matchup against Maccabi Haifa in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday at Parc des Princes, Ruiz spoke about his first few months in Paris.
“Playing with such attacking players is a real pleasure,” Ruiz told reporters (h/t Canal Supporters). “They can unlock the game every minute.”
Additionally, Ruiz was asked about playing alongside Marco Verratti, who received plenty of help this summer from sporting advisor Luis Campos. The 26-year-old is one of four new midfielders in the group to provide more support to Verratti.
“He’s a player that everyone knows,” Ruiz added. “He’s a great player and also a good person. I speak Italian, so he asked me how he could help me. He helped me a lot in my integration.
“It’s easy to play with Marco because he really helps you on the pitch. I’m happy to play with good players and Marco Verratti is one of them.”
As Ruiz gets more comfortable in the PSG squad, there’s no doubt that the capital club will begin to see the form he displayed while playing for Napoli during his four years in Serie A.
