What Neymar Is Doing in Helping Vitinha Adjust to PSG

Neymar Jr. is off to one of the better starts of his career this 2022-23 season. The 30-year-old has nine goals and seven assists in all competitions, including an assist in Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-1 win over Juventus in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

Teammates are beginning to run out of words to describe the run that the Brazil international is on, and Vitinha had to sum up his thoughts regarding how the PSG star received the Portuguese midfielder upon his arrival to the French capital.

“Everyone knows that Ney is one of the best players in the world,” Vitinha told TNT Sports Brazil (h/t Paris Fans). “It’s true that I didn’t know him personally, but speaking Portuguese helped a lot, for us to talk to each other, and he received me very well, like all the others in fact.

“But it’s true that the fact that we speak the same language has made things much easier between us. We get along very well; he is a very accessible guy, very open. So everything is fine, with him and with the others.”

Neymar stated everything was going in for him before the season started, and he’s kept his word while also adding the playmaker role to his title. Ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Neymar is in excellent form to push Brazil towards ending its 20-year drought.

Meanwhile, PSG hopes that Neymar can carry this form for the entire season with no injury to interrupt what could be a possible Ballon d’Or type year from the forward.
