After scoring off of an assist from Kylian Mbappe in the opening half of Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League away group stage fixture against Maccabi Haifa, Lionel Messi has returned the favor.
In the second half of the contest, Messi sent in a keen through ball over to Mbappe in the penalty box. The French forward ended up sending off a one-touch shot attempt for his third goal of this season’s Champions League.

On Messi’s part, he now sits at eight assists recorded in all competitions so far in the campaign.
