Video: Brighton & Hove Albion Star Tells PSG Boss to Leave Lionel Messi in Matches

In the last two fixtures against FC Nantes and Juventus for Paris Saint-Germain, manager Christophe Galtier has subbed out Lionel Messi with a few minutes left in the game.

During an interview with ESPN Argentina, Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister provided some advice to Galtier. The 23-year-old stated that he noticed the reaction made by Messi when the Argentine came out of the game.

“Yes, obviously, everyone and I like that Leo is on the pitch, and his agitation is noticeable when they take him out,” Mac Allister said to the network.

“But hey, it’s an issue that remains in there, and well, I hope the coach stops taking him it out and leaves him on the pitch because we all want to enjoy watching him play.”

At 35 years old and with a tight schedule, Galtier is playing the long game having his players not play more minutes than they need to and ensuring they’re fresh as possible late in the season as PSG pushes for a UEFA Champions League trophy.
