Report: PSG Outcast, MLS Side In Possible Transfer Talks

Paris Saint-Germain offloaded various players to thin out their roster during the summer transfer window. However, one player the capital club was unable to find a new club was Mauro Icardi.

Nonetheless, rumors link the Argentine to various Turkish clubs, including Galatasaray, as Turkey’s transfer window doesn’t close until Sept. 8, but there might be another interested club across the pond in the United States.

Argentine media outlet TyC Sports (h/t Foot Mercato) reported the 29-year-old has discussed joining MLS side Inter Miami. Nevertheless, the South Florida-based clubs already have three designated players in their squad, complicating the operation.

Furthermore, the Argentinian media evoked an interest in Newell’s Old Boys; the club Icardi grew up supporting. Time’s running out on the other transfer windows that remain open, so the former Inter Milan captain must find a home fast.

Icardi has no future in the French capital and will be away from the squad should he remain past this week.
