Report: Former PSG Manager Among the Names Considered for Open Chelsea Job

Former Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino didn’t land a job after his sacking by the capital club. However, the Argentine is seeing his name linked to jobs now that various coaches are on the hot seat or, like Thomas Tuchel, already fired.

After Chelsea decided to sack Tuchel on Wednesday, Pochettino’s name surfaced as Sky Sports’ Rob Dorsett reports that the Argentine is a name connected to The Blues.

However, it appears that Brighton & Hove Albion manager Graham Potter is option number one. Potter is reportedly traveling to London and meet Chelsea owner Todd Boehly.

Pochettino is likely Plan B should Potter opt to remain with The Seagulls, who are in a top four spot through six games. Nevertheless, the ability to coach a top-six side and having financial backing from Chelsea might be too tempting for Potter to pass up on.

If Pochettino does get the job, the former PSG manager will return to the Premier League, which he’s familiar with, having coached Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur.
