It’s been a while since Paris Saint-Germain shopped in the South American transfer market, but it appears that under sporting advisor Luis Campos that’s about to change.
Brazilian journalist Joaquim Piera recently reported (h/t PSG Hub) that the capital club intends to launch a new global scouting program with South America being the epicenter.
Additionally, Qatar sees Brazilian jewel 16-year-old Endrick from Palmeiras as a statement signing. The French giants are ready to “step on the gas,” with Barcelona keen on landing the teenager.
This decision to put PSG back on the map around South American talent is likely the doing of Campos, who also made changes to the profiles that the Ligue 1 side was pursuing this summer transfer window to build a team rather than signing stars.
It will be interesting to see if this initiative will allow PSG to land one of the brightest young Brazilian prospects, who appears to have the attention of every single European side.
Campos and company could find other young talents outside of Brazil that can become marquee players and avoid spending excessive money.
