Neymar Reaches Messi, Pele Territory After Dominant Performance for Brazil vs. Tunisia

Neymar put together a quality performance for the Brazil national team in its 5-1 international friendly win over Tunisia from the Parc des Princes on Tuesday. From the one goal scored to the three goal-scoring chances created for teammates, Neymar was simply all over the place in the match.

With the goal scored, the Paris Saint-Germain forward made notable history, as he joined Lionel Messi and Pele to become the only South American players ever to reach 75 goals scored in international play.

Neymar now needs a mere three goals to surpass Pele and become the Brazil national team’s all-time leader in goals. The PSG forward could go on to accomplish this feat over the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup.

For now, Neymar is set to return to action with PSG in its upcoming Ligue 1 home fixture against OGC Nice on Oct. 1. The Brazilian forward enters this fixture on a streak of six consecutive matches played in all competitions with at least one goal contribution recorded.
