Neymar has been on top of his game as a goal-scorer and a playmaker over the early stages of the new season. From his key goals scored in Ligue 1 play to the one assist that he chipped in with during Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League home group stage fixture against Juventus, Neymar continues to make the most out of his stout start to the campaign.
From the standpoint of former World Cup winner Bixente Lizarazu, there are several factors behind Neymar’s early promising showings this season. Among them, as noted to Telefoot, he sees that the Brazilian forward is being more decisive as a playmaker.
“He has been criticized enough and rightly so,” Lizarazu said. “But now he plays fair. He does not exaggerate on the dribble, he makes the pass when it is necessary. Physically, he is sharp.”
Overall, Neymar sits at seven total assists recorded through eight matches played in all competitions this season. This sure was just the start that PSG needed to see from the veteran forward.
