Paris Saint-Germain reportedly wants to add another forward to the group with the potential departure of Mauro Icardi, who’s linked to Turkish giant Galatasaray. The Times revealed on Thursday that Manchester City rejected a £59 million offer from the capital club for Bernardo Silva.
It doesn’t appear Silva will exit this transfer window, but talkSPORT’s Trevor Sinclair doesn’t understand why the 28-year-old would ever consider the Premier League side for the French giants.
“I understand Barcelona if you’re Portuguese, and at some stage, you want to play for Barcelona or Real Madrid, but PSG?” Sinclair said. “I’d be disappointed if we went to PSG because it’s not much better weather than London, Paris, and Manchester.
“What’s he actually going for? Is he going for a different challenge? Is he going because he thinks it’s a better football club? I just don’t understand why these rumors of him leaving the football club.”
🤦♂️ “I understand Barcelona, but PSG!?”

It will be interesting to see if sporting advisor Luis Campos revisits this file in the future since Lionel Messi is entering the final year of his contract. Additionally, despite PSG’s interest in extending the 35-year-old, a return to Barcelona or MLS could entice him more next summer.
