Following Saturday’s 5-2 win over Montpellier Hérault SC, many weren’t discussing the excellent form by Paris Saint-Germain to kick off the 2022-23 season. No, pundits and almost every football media outlet were talking about penalty-gate.
After Kylian Mbappé missed his penalty kick chance, PSG won another, where Neymar positioned himself to take it, but there was a slight altercation before the 30-year-old would convert and give the French giants a 1-0 lead.
Nonetheless, many fear an open conflict between the two players, but French football pundit Mathieu Bodmer says the altercation isn’t a big deal in his eyes.
“I’m not sure they’ll be able to get along, but that doesn’t bother me,” Bodmer said on Monday’s edition of Rothen s’enflamme. “As I have already said, I played in certain clubs where players did not say hello all year round.
“But as long as you have a common goal and enter the pitch, it’s no problem. (…) It’s good that they settled it quickly internally. Now, anything that touches PSG from near or far makes a lot of conversation.”
🔴🔵 Une bonne cohabitation Mbappé-Neymar est-elle possible ?

Mbappe should go and sit down, he does not know how to play penalty.
