The summer transfer window doesn’t close until Sept. 1, but West Ham United cannot afford to drag out possible deals until that date. After two straight losses to open up the Premier League season, The Hammers are keen on adding Thilo Kehrer this week to fix their backline.
Sky Sport’s Dharmesh Sheth reported on Monday that West Ham is looking to finalize a deal this week that would allow them to secure the Germany international ahead of their Sunday game against Brighton & Hove Albion FC.
“There could be as many as three signings coming into the London Stadium this week,” Sheth said on Sky Sports. “The first one, West Ham in advanced talks with PSG over their defender, Thilo Kehrer.
“The structure of that deal is being finalized. The fee under discussion, we believe, to be around €12 million plus add-ons, which is around £10 million … So if West Ham can beat Sevilla to his signing, it would be quite a coup, given that Sevilla can offer Champions League football.”

Kehrer could be part of three signings the English club hopes to wrap up this week. Nonetheless, nothing is finalized with the French giants, but discussions are in their advanced stages, so a deal could be imminent.
As for PSG, the capital club continues to look for another central defender to insert alongside Marquinhos, Presnel Kimpembe, and Sergio Ramos as part of the three center-back formation.
