Paris Saint-Germain youth product Edouard Michut wants to exit the capital club due to his little playing time last season.
Nonetheless, Michut is a player that the French giants would like to keep. Throughout the summer, Michut has been linked to Celtic and Sevilla, but no move has materialized.
However, there’s a new club eyeing the teenager, as transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano reported on Tuesday that Sunderland is keen on the youngster.
Romano adds that Michut is the Championship side’s dream signing for the midfield as Sunderland believes that the 2022-23 season will lead to a promotion to the Premier League next year.
Talks between the English club and PSG will continue as there are only a few days left until the summer transfer window closes on Sept. 1, so plenty of clubs are preparing for last-minute deals.
Sunderland is off to a good start in the Championship, as they’re in fifth place with eight points, two points away from leader Sheffield United.
