Paris Saint-Germain youth product Edouard Michut has been linked to a move away from the capital club this summer transfer window. However, no transfer for the teenager has materialized.
Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano reported on Friday that another possible destination could be falling by the wayside. The French giants have rejected an offer from Championship side Sunderland FC.
Romano adds that the English club offered a €3 million fixed fee plus add-ons and a 30 percent sell-on clause. Nonetheless, it’s not enough for the current Ligue 1 champions to part with the young midfielder.
With only a few days until the summer transfer window closes on Sept. 1, Michut and his representatives are running out of time to find a club that meets PSG’s demands.
There’s no additional information regarding whether Sunderland intends to come back with an improved offer or whether they intend to shift their interest elsewhere as they fight to return to the Premier League next season.
