Report: PSG Offering Manchester United Star Chance to Relaunch Career

Paris Saint-Germain is in the market for a striker following the pending departure of Arnaud Kalimuendo to Stade Rennais and offloading of Mauro Icardi. As of now, Hugo Ekitike is the only No. 9, and sporting advisor Luis Campos wants to change that by reportedly adding Marcus Rashford.

French media outlet L’Equipe reported on Thursday that the current Ligue 1 champions have already contacted the Manchester United forward’s camp, and talks are progressing positively.

Rashford’s contract runs out in June 2023, and Les Parisiens are ready to allow him to relaunch his career in the French capital. No further information on what fee PSG wants to pay for the 24-year-old, who can play either wing or as a center-forward.

Transfermarkt puts the England international’s value at €60 million, but with one year left on his contract, it will be interesting to see if Campos can secure a deal well below that figure.

In 2021-22, Rashford made 32 appearances scoring five goals and recording two assists for Manchester United. The French publication doesn’t include whether The Red Devils will be open to letting the forward leave Old Trafford this summer.
