Paris Saint-Germain has added Vitinha and Renato Sanches to their midfield. However, it appears as though sporting advisor Luis Campos isn’t done molding the position with their interest in Ivan Ilić.
Transfer window specialist Gianluca Di Marzio reported on Friday that Hellas Verona midfielder is attracting interest from Europe’s top clubs, such as PSG, following two good seasons with the Italian side.
When it comes to an asking price, Di Marzio didn’t note how much the Serie A club would want for the 21-year-old. Nonetheless, Transfermarkt puts Ilić’s value at €14 million, but with a contract until 2026, that fee could be higher.
Furthermore, the Serbia international would bring a different element to PSG’s midfield, considering he has the size. Vitinha and Renato Sanches are at 5′ 9″ or below with their height; meanwhile, Ilić stands at 6′ 1″, allowing him to win ariel duels.
Along with having the height, the midfielder fits the mold regarding the type of players Campos wants to bring to the French capital: young talents with upside. It will be interesting to see if this interest develops into a deal before the summer transfer window closes.
