Paris Saint-Germain is attempting to move on from midfielder Idrissa Gueye, who is currently linked to a possible move to Everton, but no transfer has yet occurred.
The 32-year-old isn’t in the plans of the capital club, who have new arrivals in Vitinha and Renato Sanches. Furthermore, the current Ligue 1 champions are reportedly on the verge of landing Napoli’s Fabián Ruiz.
As a result, Gueye won’t be seeing much playing time, which isn’t ideal in a FIFA World Cup year, but the veteran midfielder isn’t keen on going to any club. On Sunday, Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna reported that the Senegal international turned down the opportunity to join another Premier League side.
Gueye turned down the interest of the newly promoted Nottingham Forest as it appears if he heads to England, it will be a return to Goodison Park. Furthermore, the report states that if a transfer to The Toffees falls through, Gueye is likely to stay in Paris.
