AS Monaco defender Axel Disasi appeared to be Plan B for Paris Saint-Germain after their pursuit of Inter Milan defender Milan Škriniar became a complicated transfer. However, it now seems the capital club is ready to abandon pursuing the 24-year-old.
Goal France’s Marc Mechenoua reported on Tuesday that despite the outlines of a defined contractual agreement, PSG sporting advisor Luis Campos has decided not to go further in this pursuit.
Monaco had recently made it known that they would want €50 million for the France international. Nonetheless, there would be no further remark in the reportedly if the price tag played a part in opting not to pursue Disasi.
Foot Mercato recently reported that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi would be speaking with Inter Milan president Steven Zhang about a possible sale before the summer transfer window closes in a few hours.
Perhaps this last ditch to land the 27-year-old caused Campos to abandon the pursuit of the Monaco defender, or maybe the French giants have another target in mind to improve their backline.
