Paris Saint-Germain remains open to parting ways with Mauro Icardi, but the club still faces quite a dilemma on this matter.
As noted by L’Equipe, Icardi does not have a “credible lead” in the transfer market.
More so, PSG has decided to send Icardi to its second training group, which includes several youth prospects and also players who the club is looking to offload in the ongoing summer transfer window. These such players feature in PSG’s afternoon training session.
Icardi took part in PSG’s preseason friendly schedule, which included playing in each of its trio of matches against J1 League sides. Still, he did not go on to play in either of PSG’s first two official fixtures of the new season, although he was included in the squad list for the 2022 Trophee des Champions Final against Nantes.
Icardi still has two more years remaining on his contract at PSG.
