The hours are ticking away before the summer transfer window closes. Paris Saint-Germain striker Mauro Icardi is determined to leave the French capital to ensure playing time this season.

Initially, Icardi was pushing for a deal with Galatasaray, but PSG and the İstanbul based club have yet to find an agreement. As a result, another Turkish giant is prepared to swoop in for a transfer steal.

L’Equipe reported on Wednesday (h/t PSG Hub) that Fenerbahçe has stepped in to see if they can land the Argentine striker before the summer transfer window closes. Icardi is reportedly open to joining either club, so it gives the Ligue 1 side options.

The French giants have been able to offload several players with no future with Les Parisiens, and Icardi remains one of the last ones of the undesirables to find a club for the 2022-23 campaign.

In Turkey, the transfer window doesn’t close until Sept. 8, so there’s still time to get a deal done, but only a few days are left for Icardi to secure a move away from PSG.
