Former Paris Saint-Germain players Maxwell and Ezequiel Lavezzi were at the Camp des Loges, stopping by during a training session to say hello to former teammate Marco Verratti and fellow compatriots on the team.
However, Foot Mercato reported on Friday that Lavezzi took the opportunity to talk with goalkeeper Keylor Navas about the possibility of joining Napoli.
The former PSG forward reportedly advised the 35-year-old to join the Italian club, where he played from 2007 to 2012 before transferring to the capital club.
Furthermore, the French publication said that Lavezzi told Navas that playing in Naples was some of the best years of his career, perhaps to calm any concerns about a possible move to Italy.
Currently, two prospects are reportedly being studied to see Navas head to Napoli. The first is a regular loan without an option to buy, and the other is a termination of Navas’ contract with PSG.
Napoli has offered PSG to terminate their goalkeeper’s contract as they would like to provide the Costa Rican a three-year contract with a net annual salary of €4.5 million plus bonuses.
