Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes is garnering a lot of interest in the summer transfer window’s final days before it closes on Sept. 1.
Juventus has long had their eyes on the 28-year-old, but they could be facing competition from a fellow Serie A rival. On Tuesday, transfer window specialist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Paredes could reunite with a former club.
Di Marzio states The Old Lady’s inability to secure a transfer for the Argentine has opened the door for AS Roma. The capital club under José Mourinho could look to bring back their former player, who’s under contract at PSG until 2024.
Paredes played at Roma between 2014 and 2017. Mourinho has asked explicitly for a midfielder (not just a striker) to the club due to the Georginio Wijnaldum injury. The 28-year-old is a profile they like, and if Juventus does not close for him, Roma could think of going for him.
