Paris Saint-Germain’s quest to win the club’s first-ever UEFA Champions League begins once again and the 2022-23 edition of the tournament will see the French giants in Group H.
The current Ligue 1 champions will be joined by Juventus, Benfica, and Maccabi Haifa. Despite the good start to their league under new manager Christophe Galtier, many will judge the success of the French tactician based on how he does in the Champions League.
Facing off against Juventus would mark the return of Ángel Di María to the Parc des Princes after departing this summer on a free transfer.
The matchup against SL Benfica will see the Portuguese players on the PSG head home, especially Renato Sanches, who came up through Benfica’s youth academy and played on the first team in 2015-16 before departing for Bayern Munich.
