Pep Guardiola Hints at Manchester City Star’s Future Amid Links to Barcelona, PSG

Paris Saint-Germain is keen on adding a forward before the summer transfer window closes on Sept. 1. One of the targets that sporting advisor Luis Campos has in mind is a possible reunion with Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva.

Campos had Silva at AS Monaco in 2016-17, when they overthrew PSG to win the Ligue 1 title. Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano relayed the remarks made by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola over the Portugal international’s future.

“I want Bernardo at Man City, 100 percent,” Guardiola said. “He’s special. I don’t know what will happen, but he knows how much we like him and want him, how much we love him. But I don’t know what is going to happen…”

PSG does face competition for the 28-year-old as FC Barcelona has been in the mix for the Manchester City forward. However, Campos and PSG aren’t willing to put all their eggs into the Silva basket.

Along with Silva, PSG has been linked to another Premier League forward. A few days ago, reports of the capital club held discussions with a representative of Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

Nonetheless, no word if they’ll pursue a deal by talking with The Red Devils with the French giants pressed against time to fix a couple of needs on the squad.
