Time has passed since Kylian Mbappe opted to Spurn Real Madrid and remain with Paris Saint-Germain, signing an extension with the capital club that keeps him in his hometown until 2025.
In an interview with El Partidazo on COPE radio, former PSG forward Jesé Rodriguez spoke about his former teammate’s decision to reject the Spanish club and stay put with the French giants.
For Jesé, it was a surprising decision and stated that political influence played a big role in why Mbappe isn’t playing at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium this coming season.
“I’m surprised that Mbappe didn’t go to Real Madrid because he told me he was going to play there one day. If he didn’t go to Real Madrid, it was because of pressure outside of football; it’s a political issue.”
🤨 "Si no ha ido al Real Madrid ha sido por un tema de presiones fuera del fútbol, es un tema político"
