Transfer Swoop? PSG Eyes Chelsea-Linked Defender as Alternative for Milan Skriniar

For the last few weeks, Paris Saint-Germain has had their heart set on working on an agreement that can see them land Inter Milan central defender Milan Skriniar. However, at some point, the capital club will need to secure a deal or look at other options, such as Jules Kounde.

According to transfer window specialist Gianluca Di Marzio (via Paris Fans), PSG for Skriniar remain firm on their offer of €50 million, and they have also inquired about Sevilla’s Kounde.

The current Ligue 1 champions are pushing for a deal with Inter Milan, similar to the one that got Achraf Hakimi out of the Serie A club: around €60m plus €5m in bonuses.

However, if negotiations go nowhere, it will be time to look at Plan B, which could be Kounde, who’s also linked to Chelsea, as they’re currently rebuilding their backline this summer. Furthermore, the English club would finally be willing to give €60 million for the French defender.

Last season, Kounde made 44 appearances for the Spanish club, scoring three goals and recording one assist.
