Over the weekend, it appeared that Paris Saint-Germain would be securing their third summer transfer window signing by adding RB Leipzig right-back Nordi Mukiele.
However, the capital club must secure the deal as soon as possible, or they could see the 24-year-old head to Stamford Bridge. Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna, Chelsea have entered the race and would like to use striker Timo Werner as a bargaining chip for the France international.
A possible return of Werner, who spent 2016 through 2020 with the German side, would interest Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff, considering it wants to reinforce their attack this summer.
PSG reportedly agreed to a €12 million plus add-ons, pushing the deal to €16 million with the Bundesliga club. Nonetheless, securing an agreement that could improve their offense over a small sum for a player whose contract expires in 2023 could see Leipzig go for the player over the money.
In his five years at the club, Werner appeared in 158 fixtures for Leipzig, scoring 93 goals and recording 40 assists leading to a transfer to Chelsea. It will be interesting to see whether the Premier League club can hijack this move or if it’s too late for such a move to occur.
We don’t need any player now all we need is to value the player have and make use of them well and change the information to 4.3.3 or 4.5.1and 4.4.2
