Report: Wolverhampton Transfer Target Has Made a Key Decision on PSG Future

Paris Saint-Germain may have just been dealt with a roadblock in the potential search to find a suitor for Mauro Icardi.

According to a report from Corriere dello Sport (via Le10Sport), Icardi has no intention of lowering his salary. The report adds that the Argentine forward is currently on a contract where he is earning €10 million net per year.

This reported call could pose an issue for PSG if a team ends up attempting to sign Icardi over the ongoing summer transfer window. For one, Premier League side Wolverhampton has been linked with the veteran striker, although it is not known as to whether the club plans to go all out to soon sign him.

Icardi has been in the rumor mill with a move away from PSG in the transfer window, although the forward did note in May that he aspires to stay put.

Icardi is coming off of a season where he scored four goals in 24 total matches played in Ligue 1.

  1. 10m in wages is over 3 times the maximum salary paid at Wolves so Icardi can forget coming to Wolverhampton not that Wolves were seriously looking at signing him for the club as it does not have that kind of money and is selling players not buying them!
