For weeks now, all signs pointed to Paris Saint-Germain and Sassuolo eventually coming to terms on a transfer agreement for Gianluca Scamacca. However, West Ham United is reportedly now on the verge of signing him to a blockbuster deal.
According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, West Ham United is at an “advanced stage” in the negotiations with the Serie A side for the coveted Italian international. Pedulla further adds that Scamacca’s club future will “almost certainly” be in the Premier League.
West Ham has placed an offer of €40 million coupled with €7 million in bonuses for the versatile forward. Sassuolo has “accepted” the offer.
PSG has reportedly been in talks with Sassuolo over the possibility of signing Scamacca. However, as Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio noted on Tuesday, PSG has not “moved” from its offer of €30 million and €5 million in bonuses for the forward.
It remains to be seen on whether PSG will make one last push to bring in Scamacca, who recorded 16 goals and a 2.2 shots per match average in 36 total league matches played with Sassuolo last season.
