Report: The Simple Reason Why Ronaldo Will Not Join PSG On a Transfer Deal

As of late, much attention in the summer transfer window has turned to the future of Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United. He returned to the Premier League side last year, and he is reportedly already looking to find a new club.

Speaking to Wettfreunde, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio provided the latest on Ronaldo’s club future. He noted that the Portuguese striker “really wants to play” in the UEFA Champions League competition, which comes as Manchester United will feature in the UEFA Europa League in the coming campaign following its sixth-place finish in the final Premier League standings last season.

Di Marzio also went on to bring up several teams that have been linked with Ronaldo as of late, including Paris Saint-Germain. He adds that PSG “won’t sign” Ronaldo, as the Ligue 1 side has Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe on its roster.

Neymar and Mbappe are under contract with PSG past the upcoming 2022-2023 season, while Messi has an option for another year on the free transfer deal that he signed off on last year.

The wait continues on just where Ronaldo will end up playing at next season.
