After a mere one season at Paris Saint-Germain, Georginio Wijnaldum could soon already be on the move. He has been heavily linked with AS Roma as of late, although salary complications continue to holdup his potential first-ever move to the Serie A.

As noted by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Wijnaldum has already given his green light for a move to AS Roma.

PSG club officials remain stern in their ambition to have Roma pay Wijnaldum’s entire €9 million salary. AS Roma has no desire on doing just that so but is rather open to at the least paying half of his owed yearly salary. Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto is pushing to complete this transfer deal on “his salary conditions.”

Wijnaldum’s PSG future has been up in the air for quite a while now. He did not feature in any of PSG’s last three preseason friendly fixtures. This all comes after he had quite a sluggish campaign in his debut season with the club, which included earning a mere three total starts in UEFA Champions League play.

There is still plenty of time for PSG and AS Roma to come to terms on this matter over the ongoing summer transfer window.
