Report: Sevilla Eyes PSG’s €22M Talent to Replace Barcelona Defender

Sevilla has lost Jules Koundé, who departed for FC Barcelona, and now the Spanish club is looking for a replacement. One of the reported targets linked to a move to the La Liga side is Paris Saint-Germain’s Thilo Kehrer.

Relevo’s Samuel Silva reports that Kherer is option number one for Sevilla to replace Koundé.

The report adds that the Los Nervionenses is working on signing the PSG central defender, who is looking for a way to ensure his spot on the Germany national team for the FIFA World Cup in November.

With Kehrer having one year on his contract, the Spanish club sees the 25-year-old as a possible target to improve their backline following the exit of the France international.

Furthermore, Sevilla has been working on the process for some time to convince him about their project, which will see them play UEFA Champions League football this coming season.

Regarding a possible asking price, Kehrer has his transfer value set at €22 million, which would be a good haul for the capital club considering the circumstances.
