Report: PSG Looks to Improve Backline With Interest in Sporting’s €23M Starlet

Paris Saint-Germain is currently attempting to seal a deal to send Inter Milan central defender Milan Škriniar to the French capital. However, the capital club is in the mix to add another center-back as they’re linked to Sporting CP defender Gonçalo Inácio.

According to O Jogo, PSG is one of the clubs eyeing the 20-year-old Portuguese defender. However, with the futures of Abdou Diallo, Presnel Kimpembe, and even Thilo Kehrer, the current Ligue 1 champions might need help at central defense.

Inácio made 45 appearances this past season, scoring five goals and recording three assists for Sporting. When it comes to a possible transfer value that PSG would have to pay, Transfermarkt puts the 20-year-old’s worth at €23 million.

Premier League Wolverhampton Wanderers is the only prominent club that has shown interest in the defender, who’s under contract until 2026. It’s likely if the Portugal international is on their list, sporting advisor Luis Campos will go after him when he’s offloaded players at the position.
