After watching Xavi Simons sign with PSV on a free transfer deal, Paris Saint-Germain has turned its attention to the future of midfield prospect Edouard Michut, who signed off on a two-year contract extension deal with the club last year.
Michut was scheduled to meet with PSG football advisor Luis Campos on Wednesday, but the midfielder did not show up for the meeting, according to RMC Sport‘s Loic Tanzi.
Michut was set to touch base with Campos on his future at PSG, and overall, the reason for why he did not attend the meeting is currently not known.
Philippe Lambolay, Michut’s agent, did issue a statement on this matter: “Edouard Michut is very attached to Paris Saint-Germain. Luis Campos knows the reasons for his not coming, I have nothing more to say.”
Michut is coming off of a season where he featured in a mere five matches in Ligue 1 play, where he logged one assist and recorded a 13.8 touches per game average.
It remains to be seen whether Michut will end up staying at PSG past the ongoing summer transfer window.
