Report: Chelsea Transfer Target Has No Plans of Leaving PSG

Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly in talks with Chelsea over defender Presnel Kimpembe, who has two years left on his current deal. Manager Thomas Tuchel wants to reunite with his former player as The Blues rebuild their backline.

However, it seems as though the German tactician might have to look at other options. According to L’Equipe (via Hadrien Grenier), Kimpembe has told PSG leaders that he does not want to leave the French giants.

For Les Parisiens, the message is simple: they do not want to sell him, but he will negotiate if the France international asks to leave. The French publication adds that it has received two offers, including one from Chelsea.

Also, suppose Kimpembe is to remain with PSG past this summer. In that case, the current Ligue 1 champions will open contract extension talks with the player to prolong the stay of their former youth academy player.

Sporting advisor Luis Campos is looking to add another central defender, but it seems as though the French defender isn’t afraid of the competition that could be arriving to the squad soon.
