Paris Saint-Germain remains in discussions with Inter Milan for Milan Skriniar. However, a recent report suggests that the capital club is looking at Plan B options in Sevilla’s Jules Kounde, but the current Ligue 1 champions could this target.
According to 90min, Kounde is increasingly likely to join Barcelona as the 23-year-old is also connected to Chelsea. The Blues are looking at other transfer targets for their need at central defense, including Presnel Kimpembe.
The report doesn’t detail why the Spanish club is leading the race for the French defender, but it should send a warning to PSG to either secure Skriniar or see their other options head elsewhere.
Kounde has made a name for himself during his time with Sevilla, which is why various clubs across Europe are looking at him. Nonetheless, if Barcelona is indeed leading the charge, PSG might not cross him off as a potential fallback option if the move for the Slovakian fails.
