Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly connected to Aston Villa midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka, who could be on the way out of the Premier League club since he has one year left on his deal.
Barcelona is rumored to be in on the midfielder along with the capital club, but now there’s a new challenger looking to beat out these two clubs for Chukwuemeka. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that AC Milan is now in the mix.
Milan views Chukwuemeka as an alternative if they cannot land Lille OSC midfielder Renato Sanches. Regarding the possible cost for the teenager, Aston Villa reportedly wants €20 million, but their starlet only has one year on his deal.
As a result, the Premier League club can’t be too picky with the offers, as losing the midfielder on a free transfer would be a terrible situation. Chukwuemeka appeared in 14 fixtures with the first team during the 2021-22 season, playing primarily as a central midfielder.
Nonetheless, the Aston Villa youth product can also play as a defensive midfielder, so he brings versatility to any club that lands him this summer.
