Numerous world-class talents have featured at Paris Saint-Germain over its storied history. From the days of Pauleta leading PSG’s attack to when Edinson Cavani scored countless standout goals during his run with the French powerhouse, the club sure has rolled out a multitude of stout players over the years.
For PSG midfielder Ander Herrera, he sees that Kylian Mbappe is the best talent in the club’s history.
Speaking on the “El Partidazo de Cope” program, Herrera was discussing Mbappe’s call to snub Real Madrid to remain at PSG, where he casually mentioned that the French international is the greatest player to ever play at the club.
“If he had left I wouldn’t have been surprised, but being the greatest player in the club’s history … being able to win the Champions League for him is a huge motivation,” Herrera said. “I understand the greatness of teams like Madrid but you have to respect a Parisian boy who wants to make history at his club.”
Mbappe sure will have multiple grand opportunities in the upcoming season to further bolster his legacy at PSG. For one, he is a mere 30 goals away from surpassing Edinson Cavani (200) for the most goals scored in all competitions in PSG history.
